8th National Judicial Dialogue on Wildlife and Environmental Crimes

The 8th National Judicial Dialogue on Wildlife and Environmental Crimes, organized by Africa Network for Animal Welfare (ANAW), Judiciary Training Institute (JTI) and the Office of the Director of Public Prosecution (ODPP) is happening at Sarova Taita Hills Game Lodge and will run for 2 days from 5-6 December 2018. The Dialogue themed; “On the Right Path: Leveraging Positive and Successful Inter-Agency Collaboration to Fighting Environment and Wildlife Crime” brings together 15 Law Enforcement Agencies. Thanks to partners like African Fund for Endangered Wildlife (AFEW-Kenya) and Wildlife Direct in making it happen.

In the opening ceremony, The Judiciary Training Institute (JTI) Deputy Director, Dr. Steve Ouma made his keynote as well as official opening Speech during the dialogue.

National Judicial Dialogues started in 2013 with a mandate to providing a common platform for stakeholders to identify key gaps, exchange experiences, share lessons and implement resolutions through cooperation and collaboration among the justice chain stakeholders.
