Capacity Building and Education pillar ushers in Experiential learning as one of the key tenets in place to ensure hands-on learning through engagements in animal welfare initiatives is a part academia and professional impact in various communities in Africa. Learning and participation in projects and activities on human-wildlife co-existence, animal care, wildlife conservation, supporting community livelihoods, advocacy and campaigns are some of the areas we tackle.
Students and practitioners in the veterinary, journalism, conservation, leadership, entrepreneurship, anthropology, international relations and related fields find an opportunity to understand ANAW's work in protecting and caring for animals and gives insight into the status of animal welfare in Africa.
In conjunction with partners, the ANAW team has endeavoured to host and welcome high school, undergraduate and post graduate students from China, USA and Kenya on learning trips in Kenya.
