Exploring the Animal Welfare Interlinks: Arid and Semi-Arid Regions
We trudge on to explore the interlinks - animal welfare, environment and sustainable development, venturing into the vast dry landscapes of Africa. We delve into the often-neglected issues faced by communities and their animals in arid regions, semi-arid regions and in lands adversely affected by the climate crisis.
We invite writers, photographers, cartoonists and illustrators to contribute articles, photographs, cartoons and illustrations for The Animal Welfare Magazine, Issue No. 18 - January to June 2024.
Africa Animal Welfare Conference (AAWC) is an annual conference co-hosted by Africa Network for Animal Welfare (ANAW) in collaboration with United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), African Union InterAfrican Bureau for Animal Resources (AU-IBAR) and the Government of the Country on Which the Conference is held, for professionals and practitioners, coming together to discuss issues that cut across animal welfare, wildlife and environmental conservation.
