We at Africa Network for Animal Welfare (ANAW) cannot thank you enough for your continued partnership and support over the years. We are delighted that you are part of our community that has joined hands to prevent the suffering of animals and improve their welfare.
With the support of our friends and partners like you, we’ve been able to accomplish so much over the past year. Some of the achievements include holding the 6th Africa Animal Welfare conference virtually and in-person in Gaborone, Botswana; being central in working with other CSOs and partners to support member states leading to the adoption of the Animal Welfare, Environment, Sustainable Development – Nexus resolution at the 5th session of the United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA); cage-free chicken campaigns in East Africa and West Africa countries; working with communities in Northern part of Kenya to improve the donkey welfare; expanded the animal welfare clubs schools program; saving hundreds of animals from snares and rescuing many more; supporting the education of children living in wildlife areas through the Africa Conservation Education Fund (ACEF); and, working with communities at the Kenyan coastline to save sea turtles from poaching and conserving their habitats.
