Rodha Chebet School Wallet – 

Meet Roda Chebet, a second year student at Enaiposha Girls, formerly known as Lake Naivasha Girls School. She went to Kiboko Primary school at the Soysambu Ranch, Nakuru County. She obtained a good score of 304 marks out of a possible mark of 500 in her Kenya Certificate of Primary Education. Her mother, Joshine Chepkoech, has been working as a cleaner for the last 4 years. Though she greatly desired to educate her own daughetr, she cannot afford to pay for her daughter’s secondary school fees with her meagre monthly income of 60 US dollars.

For the last two years, her education has been funded through the ACEF program. ACEF is a program by ANAW and ANAW-USA that supports the education of children living in wildlife areas through scholarships and creation of effective learning environments. As we anticipate the new school year from January 2023, we hope to help even more children from communities living in or neighbouring wildlife areas.
